Mr. Malik Basintale, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), on Thursday honored an invitation from the Parliamentary Select Committee on Sanitation and Water to provide an update on the Agency’s sanitation model and share his ambitious vision for its future enhancement.
During a “constructive engagement” with the committee, Mr. Basintale detailed his plans to significantly strengthen YEA’s sanitation module. His proposals aim to not only boost community impact but also generate a greater number of sustainable employment opportunities for young people across the nation.
He further revealed that the Agency is “far advanced” in its plans for a comprehensive rebranding and repositioning of the entire sanitation model.

A key highlight of Mr. Basintale’s presentation was his reaffirmation of a steadfast commitment to protecting the interests of Ghanaian youth. He reiterated his firm stance against entering into any agreements with companies that offer wages below the national minimum wage.
The CEO emphasized his dedication to ensuring fair practices and preventing any exploitation of the workforce.
