President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to decisively and swiftly bring an end to the nation’s security challenges, assuring Nigerians that the government is making progress in restoring peace and stability across affected regions.
The president’s firm assurance comes in the wake of recent tragic incidents and loss of lives in parts of the country, which he acknowledged with deep concern.
“I have given clear directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant security agencies to end insecurity decisively and without delay.

“With the unwavering courage and commitment of our gallant men and women in uniform, we are turning the tide and making steady progress in reclaiming peace and stability”, President Tinubu declared in his Easter message on Friday .
He expressed empathy with citizens affected by violence and unrest, stating that he understood the pain and fear such events have caused.
“My administration’s resolve to restore peace and security remains unshakable. Forces of evil will never prevail over our country”, Tinubu said.
While addressing the challenges of insecurity, President Tinubu also touched on the state of the nation’s economy, acknowledging the hardships many Nigerians face.
He praised citizens for their patience and resilience, noting that efforts to revive the economy are beginning to yield encouraging results.
“We are working tirelessly to restore investor confidence, stabilise key sectors, and build an inclusive economy that serves the interests of all Nigerians,” he said.
Marking the Easter celebration, Tinubu extended warm felicitations to Christians in Nigeria and around the world.
He described the season as a time to reflect on the enduring values of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope, which he said are central to the Christian faith and resonate with his administration’s vision of “Renewed Hope.”
The President also joined the global Christian community in celebrating the recovery of Pope Francis, offering prayers for the Pontiff’s continued strength and inspirational leadership.
Tinubu urged Nigerians to remain united and hopeful, stressing that the country would overcome its current challenges.
“Just as Christ triumphed over death, so too shall our country triumph over every challenge we face. Our unity and resilience are our greatest strengths”, he said.
