Ibadan, Nigeria – The Oyo State Ministry of Public Works and Transport has announced a temporary road closure along the Mokola-Sango axis of Ibadan. In a public service announcement issued today, Friday, May 2, 2025, the Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Kehinde Sangodoyin, informed the general public, particularly road users in the affected area, about the impending closure.

The road between Elewure junction and Sango will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 10:00 PM on Friday, May 2, 2025, to 6:00 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

This temporary closure is necessary to facilitate the placement of a new level crossing on the Sango rail line. This work is part of the ongoing road construction projects in the area.

Professor Sangodoyin advised all road users around the Mokola-Sango axis to seek alternative routes to reach their destinations during the specified period. The Ministry of Public Works and Transport expressed regret for any inconvenience this necessary construction work may cause.
