Katsina Police Uncover Staged Kidnapping, Rescue 4-Year-Old
Operatives in Katsina State have cracked a disturbing kidnapping case involving a 14-year-old girl and her 4-year-old sister. The case, which began on February 20, 2025, with a complaint from Alhaji Badamasi Bala of Madaci Yan Nono Quarters, took an unexpected turn four months later. The older sister resurfaced and confessed to orchestrating her own kidnapping in collaboration with three accomplices, aged 25, 19, and 16. All suspects have been apprehended, and the 4-year-old sister has been safely rescued and reunited with her family.
Nasarawa Police Intercept Arms Trafficker, Recover AK-47
In Nasarawa State, swift and strategic action by police operatives along the Giza–Kadarko Road in Keana LGA led to the recovery of a significant cache of weapons. Acting on credible intelligence about a suspected arms trafficker, officers flagged down an unregistered Bajaj motorcycle. The suspect abandoned the motorcycle and fled into a nearby bush, but a thorough search of the vehicle yielded one (1) AK-47 rifle, two (2) magazines, and forty-five (45) rounds of 7.62x39mm live ammunition. Efforts are actively underway to apprehend the fleeing suspect.

Jigawa Joint Operation Nabs Seven Fraudsters, Seizes Counterfeit USD
A coordinated raid on June 13, 2025, by a joint team of Nigeria Police Force operatives and other security agencies in Kankare and Zurkuda villages, Birnin Kudu LGA, Jigawa State, resulted in the arrest of seven suspected fraudsters. This network was involved in various financial crimes. Exhibits recovered from the suspects include 46,100 counterfeit United States Dollars (USD), four (4) POS machines, thirteen (13) Android smartphones, twenty-nine (29) keypad phones, six (6) power banks, two (2) vehicle plate numbers, and various documents suspected to be linked to electronic fraud. All suspects are currently in custody and undergoing thorough investigation.
