Confirming the news, Babcock Director of Marketing and Communications, Joshua Suleiman, on Sunday that the school has received the cheering news.

However, details surrounding his initial whereabouts, and where he was found still remain sketchy at the time of filling this report.
This comes days after a viral video of Omotayo weeping uncontrollably while pleading for information regarding her son’s whereabouts from his school.
It was gathered from her social media page that her son, Oladipupo had been missing since 27 April 2025, and in an earlier emotional appeal she uploaded, she wrote,
“Babcock University, please provide information about my son!
“Babcock University Ilisan, could you please inform me about the whereabouts of my son, Oladipupo Siwajuola?
“Can you explain why Lampard and Tobi, who were the last to see him are being shielded?
“It has been over 72 hours since I last spoke to my son. I personally dropped him off at school on Monday, 27 April, as I always do, and I have been unable to locate him since then.
‘Please provide information about my son’s whereabouts. My family and I should not suffer due to your lack of accountability. My son is not a piece of furniture, “ Omotayo cried out.
In solidarity, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) issued a 48-hour ultimatum for the management of Babcock University to release a detailed official statement outlining the known circumstances of the disappearance of one of its students, Mr Oladipupo Siwajuola.
National Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NANS, Comrade Adeyemi Samson Ajasa stated this in a statement issued on Sunday.
The student’s mother, Fijabi Oyindamola Omotayo had taken to Facebook to call on members of the public and security agencies to help locate her son.
Omotayo said she dropped off her son at the University on Sunday, April 27 but was unable to locate him ever since.
“Members of the public should please help tell Babcock University to produce my son. I dropped him off at the school myself on Sunday evening, but for the past three days, I have not been able to sleep as I cannot find my son,” she lamented.
In Sunday’s statement, NANS urgently called on Babcock University management to prioritise the immediate provision and comprehensive information regarding the whereabouts of the missing student.
“NANS stands with the family of Mr. Oladipupo Siwajuola during this deeply concerning period and believes that a transparent and proactive approach from Babcock University is crucial for a swift resolution.
“We urge the university administration to recognise the legitimate anxieties of the students body (NANS) and the wider community by promptly releasing a detailed official statement outlining the known circumstances of Mr. Siwajuola’s disappearance and the specific steps taken since the report has been made by the mother of the student.
“Furthermore, NANS encourages Babcock University to provide clear and verifiable updates on the ongoing efforts to locate Mr. Siwajuola, including transparent communication regarding collaborations with law enforcement agencies and the progress of any internal inquiries.
“Demonstrating tangible action and a commitment to open communication will be vital in reassuring the concerned public and fostering trust,” the statement reads in part.
The national student body emphasised the importance of outlining concrete measures being implemented to ensure the safety and security of all students within the university environment.
“This proactive approach will not only address the current situation but also contribute to a more secure learning environment for the future.
“To facilitate a constructive path forward, we urge the management of the University to prioritise these actions within the next 48hours.
“Openness, transparency, and demonstrable efforts are key to a positive resolution and in upholding the university’s responsibility towards her students.
“The safe return of Oladipupo Siwajuola is very paramount to us as the national students body leadership, and NANS expects a responsive and responsible approach from the management of Babcock University during this critical time,” the statement further reads.
