Jomoro MP Hails CILT Ghana at 60th Anniversary Launch

The Member of Parliament for Jomoro Constituency, Hon. Dorcas Toffey, has delivered a speech at the launch and fundraising ceremony of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Ghana’s 60th Anniversary.

 

Speaking on behalf of the Minister for Transport, Hon. Joseph Bukari Nikpe, she described the occasion as a distinct honour and extended congratulatory messages to the leadership and members of CILT Ghana.

Hon. Toffey praised the Institute’s six decades of dedication to professionalism, innovation, and excellence, emphasizing its significant role in advancing national development. She acknowledged CILT Ghana as a vital partner in shaping the transport and logistics sector through capacity building, policy advocacy, and industry modernization.

Highlighting her earlier engagement with the Institute at the Transport and Logistics CEOs’ Breakfast Meeting held at the Royale Fiesta Hotel, she revealed that fourteen strategic action points had emerged from the discussions. These, she said, were forwarded to her office for further action in June. She assured that the Ministry remains committed to implementing them in line with the government’s reset agenda to build a modern, resilient, and efficient transport ecosystem.

 

She also commended the visionary leadership of CILT Ghana, stressing that the anniversary fundraising will serve as a catalyst for the Institute’s next phase of growth. According to her, strengthening logistics infrastructure and embracing innovation will ensure that Ghana maintains its competitiveness on the global stage.
