FOR THE EDO PDP, ITS TIME TO ASK CHIEF DAN ORBIH FOR FORGIVENESS
There are some patterned occurrences that will make any reasonable person to stop, reflect and act. When everything seem to be falling apart and the center can no longer hold, the best thing to do is to ask the question; “What went wrong?”
Edo state used to be a complete PDP state until recently. No matter the party in power, one thing that you could bet on was that the PDP would win the presidential election in Edo state.
Taste the Goodness: EL Blends All-Natural Cold-Pressed Juices
The party under the leadership of the Late Chief Tony Anenih with the support of Chief Dan Orbih held sway ensuring that the PDP at any point in time could boast of elected representatives against all odds. The structure of the party was well oiled and kept running by Chief Dan Orbih even after the demise of the leader.
The sacrifices of Chief Dan Orbih were the reason why Governor Godwin Obaseki had where to run to and was able to win his second tenure after he was ingloriously kicked out of the APC as a sitting governor.
Truth be told, if Chief Dan Orbih did not keep the PDP house, Obaseki’s political journey would have been terminated when he was chased out of the APC. The PDP gave him the structure built by Chief Orbih to rescue him and yet he was sidelined after the victory. Not even the opportunity to bring his ward councilor was given to him.
There can never be peace without justice. You cannot drive a man away from his house and be asking for peace while still occupying his house. God cannot hear your prayers as an illegal occupier. If the Edo PDP must survive, we must go and ask Chief Dan Orbih for forgiveness and handover the party which he built back to him.
I have seen that Chief Dan Orbih has genuine love for the PDP. Unlike most of the travelers that took over the party, he has remained on ground despite every opportunity to cross-carpet to the APC. Just take a look at the House of Assembly members and Councilors that were imposed on the party. Most of them could not even wait for the swearing-in of the new governor before jumping ship. Chief Orbih is still with the party despite all the injustices meted out against him.
I have decided to stand with Chief Dan Orbih in his quest to rescue and reposition the Edo State PDP from going into extinction. I have no confidence in the abilities and capabilities of the current managers neither do I trust their sincerity. The House of Assembly members imposed on the party have set the pace to destroy PDP in Edo State. Only Chief Dan Orbih has the magic wand to save the party .
I stand with the PDP. I stand with Chief Dan Orbih.
