The Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government Council, Hon. Shehu Abdulrahman Babatunde Ladan, has officially flagged off a Community Health Polio Immunization Program aimed at eradicating polio and improving public health within the area.
Speaking at the launch event held at Oko-Erin ward, along Asa-dam hospital, Ilorin, where the Chairman emphasized the importance of vaccination in safeguarding the health of children and urged parents and guardians to take full advantage of the free immunization services.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to the health and well-being of our people, especially our children,” Hon. Ladan stated. “We are working closely with health professionals and community leaders to ensure every child is reached.”

The program, organized in collaboration with the Kwara State Ministry of Health and other partners, will involve door-to-door vaccination across all wards in Ilorin West.
Health workers have been mobilized and equipped to carry out the exercise efficiently.
Residents expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting its importance in preventing disease outbreaks and promoting healthier communities.
