Wassa Akropong, Western Region, Ghana – Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has issued a passionate, detailed public appeal to the Government of Ghana and the Ministry of Roads and Highways to urgently approve and rehabilitate 33 critical feeder and inter-community roads across her constituency — in addition to ongoing approved projects.
In a fiery statement delivered at a community durbar in Wassa Akropong on October 25, 2025, the MP declared:
“These are not just roads — these are lifelines. Farmers lose crops, pregnant women deliver on motorbikes, students drop out because of mud in the rainy season. I have fought for the approved roads. Now, I am begging on behalf of my people: Fix these 33 roads — or watch Amenfi Central bleed.”

The plea comes amid growing frustration over decades of neglect, with some roads unmotorable for over 15 years.

Yet remains one of the poorest constituencies due to infrastructure decay.
These 33 roads = economic freedom, healthcare access, education, dignity.
Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe has drawn a line in the mud:
“Approve the roads you promised. Now, fix these 33 — or explain to a mother who lost her child on a broken path.”
