Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe Makes Urgent Plea: “Fix These 33 Roads NOW!”

Wassa Akropong, Western Region, GhanaHon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, has issued a passionate, detailed public appeal to the Government of Ghana and the Ministry of Roads and Highways to urgently approve and rehabilitate 33 critical feeder and inter-community roads across her constituency — in addition to ongoing approved projects.

In a fiery statement delivered at a community durbar in Wassa Akropong on October 25, 2025, the MP declared:

“These are not just roads — these are lifelines. Farmers lose crops, pregnant women deliver on motorbikes, students drop out because of mud in the rainy season. I have fought for the approved roads. Now, I am begging on behalf of my people: Fix these 33 roads — or watch Amenfi Central bleed.”

The plea comes amid growing frustration over decades of neglect, with some roads unmotorable for over 15 years.
