According to a statement released by SMC Secretary/Special Aide T.T. Kamara A.B.A. Fusein, the reduction was made possible through “prudent management, strategic negotiations with service providers, and the unwavering commitment of the Hajj Taskforce to prioritize the welfare of Ghanaian pilgrims.”
Concerns that a reduced fare might lead to a decline in pilgrim welfare were directly addressed by the Taskforce.
“We wish to categorically state that the reduction in fare has not in any way compromised the living conditions, safety, or comfort of our pilgrims,” the statement affirmed.
On the contrary, the Taskforce emphasized that all essential services, including accommodation, feeding, healthcare, and transportation, continue to meet international standards.
Pilgrims are assured of air-conditioned accommodations, nutritious meals, efficient transportation, and access to quality healthcare throughout their stay in the Holy Land.
Furthermore, the Taskforce highlighted strengthened support systems for pilgrims, with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers available around the clock to provide guidance and assistance. This ensures that both the spiritual and physical well-being of pilgrims are prioritized.

The National Hajj Taskforce reiterated its commitment to upholding the highest standards of service, ensuring every Ghanaian pilgrim experiences a safe, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling pilgrimage. The Taskforce also extended its gratitude to the Ghanaian government, stakeholders, and partners for their continued support.
