Hajia Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, the Member of Parliament for Salaga-South, paid a heartfelt tribute to Alhaji Muniru Mohammed Limuna, the Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator, and seven others who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on August 6, 2025.

She also praised his resourcefulness during the 2024 NDC campaign and his dedication to the fundraising committee. The victims were on their way to Obuasi to launch the Responsible Cooperative Mining and Skills Development Programme when the tragic accident occurred.

President John Dramani Mahama has declared a national mourning period, with flags flown at half-mast, and a state funeral held on August 15, 2025, to honor the deceased.
