Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State officially opened Bankyloolas Mobile and Pasta Pan in Oluyole, Ibadan, yesterday. The event highlighted the Governor’s commitment to fostering economic growth through entrepreneurship, particularly among young people.
In his remarks, Governor Makinde emphasized the critical role of the entrepreneurial spirit, alongside education and intensive production, in driving economic growth in Nigeria. He encouraged local businesses to adopt a global mindset, citing the success of international brands like Nando’s, which originated in South Africa, as an example.

Governor Makinde, who began his own entrepreneurial journey at the age of 29, expressed immense joy and motivation witnessing young entrepreneurs establish businesses across various sectors of the economy. The newly opened Bankyloolas Mobile & Pasta Pan offers a variety of food items including small chops, grills, pasta, and peppersoup, as indicated by the signage at the establishment. The opening ceremony featured festive decorations, including balloons, and was attended by various individuals, some of whom were seen in the background of the Governor’s address.
