FG Calls For Preservation Of Cultural Heritage

The Federal Ministry of Culture and Tourism has urged Nigerians to work unanimously in preserving the nation’s cultural heritage, in order not to let it totally go into an extinction.

The call was made by Deputy Director, Mr. Patrick Abah, and a team lead delegation from the Ministry, in a courtesy visit to the “Atorise Ologbose Temple,” Idi-Ori, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

 

The Deputy Director and his team were received by the Founder of the Temple and Oba Ìsèse of Ogun State, Oba (Dr.) Ifarotimi Adifagbola Balogun who led him and other delegates on a tour of the vast 3 acres of the Temple, in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

He said “Though, the initiative like “Atorise Ologbose Temple” is very rare, we harness cultural heritage’s power to showcase Nigeria’s beauty and diversity which fostering economic growth and sustainable development.

“I urged all stakeholders present here and outside to continue supporting endeavors that celebrate our Nigeria identity and promote our cultural heritage, ensuring places like “Atorise Ologbose Temple” serves as a beacons of pride and inspiration.”

He thumbed up Adifagbola Balogun for allowing his entourage/team to immerse themselves in the vibrant tapestry of the Nigerian culture and heritage visible everywhere at the temple.

Earlier, Adifagbola Balogun appreciated the team, which includes; Ogun State Liaison Officer, Mr. Akinsanya Abdul-Azeez, Prince Obi Nwokolo, and Ms. Francesca Osakwe, emphasised that culture was not just about sites and destinations but also about the culture and traditions of the people.
