Rapper and activist Falz recently described the 2020 #EndSARS protests as one of the most intense periods of his life.
During an interview on the #WithChude Live show in Lagos, Falz recounted the emotionally and mentally draining nature of the protests. However, he asserted that he has no regrets about his involvement. “I was taught never to regret doing what I believe is right,” he stated, emphasizing the profound sense of unity experienced during that time: “The connection we all felt—it was monumental.”

Falz stressed that his activism stems from a place of compassion and humanity, rather than a desire for praise or recognition. He also cited his father, human rights lawyer Femi Falana, as a significant influence on his activism.
Through his music and advocacy, Falz remains a vocal opponent of injustice and police brutality in Nigeria.
