In a significant move to bolster youth education and digital literacy, the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has launched a comprehensive support initiative for students in her constituency. The program, which has already benefited nearly 400 young people, provides a combination of digital and financial aid to graduates and undergraduates.
Bridging the Digital Divide
Recognizing the critical role of technology in modern education, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe’s office has distributed 10GB of data to each beneficiary. The data, valued at GHC 51, aims to ensure students have reliable internet access for research, online learning, and staying connected with academic resources. This effort directly addresses the digital divide, equipping students with the tools necessary to compete in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven world.

In addition to the data support, each student also received GHC 200 in cash. This financial assistance is designed to help students with various academic and personal expenses, from purchasing books and stationery to covering transport costs. The dual approach of providing both digital and financial support highlights a holistic commitment to student welfare and academic success.
A Vision for the Future
“Education is the backbone of development,” stated Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe. “I am committed to creating opportunities that will make our students more connected, more equipped, and more hopeful for the future.”
The initiative is part of the MP’s broader vision to empower the youth and lay a strong foundation for the future leaders of Amenfi Central. By investing directly in the education of the constituency’s young population, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe is not only supporting individual students but also contributing to the overall development and prosperity of the region.
The program’s early success, with hundreds of students already benefiting, signals a positive step forward in the commitment to fostering educational growth and digital inclusion in the community.
