The Chairman, Epe Local Government Area of Lagos State, Princess Surah Animashaun has congratulated the Muslim Ummah’s and entire Epe citizens on the auspicious occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

 

The Chairperson in a statement made available to newsmen, extolled the citizens of Epe division for their exemplary good virtues while urging them to use the occasion of the celebration to rededicate themselves to their creator.

She urged Muslims to use the occasion to spread love through cheerful giving, identifying obedience as key to unlocking the unending grace of Allah.

Princess Animashaun restated the determination of her administration to create a just, harmonious and prosperous council for all and sundry, stressing that a better Epe Local Government Council beckons under her.

“As an elected Chairperson who enjoys the goodwill of the good people of this council, let me assure you that we are going to continue with measures of better welfare for the citizens of our council and most significantly, our workers.

“With the developmental strides we’ve embarked on so far in the council, I want to give further assurance of more unprecedented development to take place in the nooks and crannies of the council.” Princess Animashaun assured.

 

The Chairperson, who stressed the importance of harmony, enjoined citizens to tolerate one another and live peacefully, noting that development and progress are only possible in a peaceful environment.

She called on Muslim faithfuls to use the occasion of the Eid-el-Kabir celebration to renew a sense of sacrifice and brotherhood, saying the lesson inherent in the act of Prophet Ibrahim (A.S.W) is that there is reward in obedience.

“I urge all Muslims to continue to live in peace and harmony with their fellow brothers, while coexisting peacefully with people of other faiths,” the Chairperson charged.

 

She implored Muslims to seize the opportunities embedded in the glorious period to intensify prayers for the success of the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima.

 

Princess Animashaun extolled the rare virtues displayed by Nigerian Muslims and adherents of other faiths in the last two years of Tinubu’s administration, which had culminated into the emergence and continuity of the progressive government-led by President Tinubu and Vice President Shettima.

She expressed her confidence in the mantra of “Renewed Hope” agenda of the current administration to reposition the country to the path of greatness and sosocio-economic rejuvenation.
