The suspects—Adefowora Olanipekun, Adefowora Oluwanisola, Emmanuel Uko, Johnson Okiroh Otieno, Israel Mbaluka, Joseph Michiro Kabera, Serag Michiro, and Seyi Oloyede—are accused of orchestrating a multi-million naira cryptocurrency scam, resulting in significant financial losses for thousands of Nigerian investors.
According to an official notice released via EFCC’s verified social media handles, the agency urged the public to assist with any information regarding the whereabouts of the wanted individuals.
The EFCC reaffirmed its dedication to combating cybercrime, particularly within the expanding digital asset ecosystem. The agency stated:
“The public is hereby notified that the persons whose photographs appear above are wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for fraud allegedly perpetrated on an online trading platform called Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).”

The CBEX platform reportedly collapsed in April, causing an estimated loss of over N1.3 trillion in investors’ funds—leaving many Nigerians financially devastated and demanding justice.
