Business, Wellness and the Future: Hon. Iddi Kofi Adams Inspires Madina Youth and Women Entrepreneurs at Chamber Launch

The launch of the Madina Chamber of Commerce turned into more than just a celebration of business growth—it became a rallying call for health, wellness, and national development. Hon. Iddi Kofi Adams, in his rousing address, urged young people and women entrepreneurs to embrace a culture that balances enterprise with active living.

“What we are doing is teaching you that as you develop your business, add physical exercise to it,” he declared to thunderous applause.

Adams highlighted the visionary leadership of John Dramani Mahama, noting his bold decision to reduce the size of government from 126 to 60 ministries while still prioritizing youth, sports, and recreation.

“Even in the time of reducing ministries, he split Youth and Sports to create a dedicated Youth Ministry and a Sports and Recreation Ministry. That tells you the importance the President attaches to your well-being and to the development of sports,” Adams emphasized.

The MP stressed that prosperity is meaningless without good health.
“You cannot be wealthy if you’re making money and you’re sick. We want every single one of you to be alive, solid, and strong,” he said, challenging Madina residents to walk with their leaders—whether Hon. Sosu, Faila, or on their own—as part of building healthier communities.

Saluting Hon. Francis Xavier Sosu’s vision for empowering small businesses, Adams encouraged women and youth to seize opportunities within the new Chamber framework. He underscored that talent, creativity, and resilience lie at the heart of Ghana’s economic transformation, particularly at the grassroots level.

Adams revealed that the wellness-business initiative would not stop at Madina.
“For the remaining 261 districts, municipalities, and 275 constituencies—watch out. We are coming to your area soon. We want every Ghanaian to not just succeed in business but to thrive health-wise so that the money you make is not wasted on medication.”

The launch concluded with Adams charging the youth and women of Madina to carry forward the values of health, enterprise, and community.

“Tomorrow, the Chief of Staff may not be here, but we want you to continue the things we initiated today. Grow your businesses, walk with strength, and build a future where wellness and wealth walk hand in hand,” he said.

The Madina Chamber of Commerce launch has thus set the tone for a movement where entrepreneurship meets wellness—laying a path for empowered women, resilient youth, and thriving communities across Ghana.
