Umuahia, Abia State – Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, recently hosted a delegation of influential figures at his country home in Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area, signalling a growing convergence of political leaders in support of his administration’s efforts. The visitors included former Abia State Governor and current Senator representing Abia North, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, and former Senator representing Abia Central, Senator Chris Adighije.

They were also accompanied by a group of prominent “Imolites” led by Chief Tony Chukwu and Chief Charles Ahize, among other esteemed Abia friends.

The courtesy visit, which took place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, saw the leaders commend Governor Otti for his developmental strides and affirm their commitment to the progress of Abia State.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, in his remarks, lauded Governor Otti’s performance, particularly highlighting the significant improvements in road infrastructure. He specifically praised the smoothness of the Igbere-Umuahia road, stating that he “literally came into Umuahia from Igbere courtesy of the smoothness of the road built by Governor Alex Otti.”

Senator Kalu emphasized that good governance transcends political affiliations and expressed his enduring friendship and brotherhood with Governor Otti, regardless of political contests. He further urged Governor Otti to maintain a close working relationship with President Bola Tinubu, asserting that supporting the national leader would foster development at both state and federal levels.
