In a major win for industrial development, Abia State Governor Alex Otti has officially inaugurated the new beverage manufacturing facility of Ultimum Limited in Osisioma, Aba.
The multimillion-dollar factory is poised to significantly boost the local economy and create new jobs.
Governor Otti announced the milestone after a meeting with Ultimum Limited CEO, Mr. Austin Ufomba. The company has completed the first phase of its facility, marking a significant step toward making Abia a hub for manufacturing in Nigeria.

Infrastructure Development to Support Growth
To ensure the factory’s success and improve the broader industrial landscape, Governor Otti has directed the Commissioner for Works to immediately begin construction on the road leading to the factory along Adaelu Road. This infrastructure project is expected to enhance logistics for the company and benefit other businesses within the Osisioma industrial cluster.

Governor Otti commended Ultimum Limited for its proactive approach, noting that the company began operations without first seeking government intervention. “Ultimum Limitedโs decision to start operations before seeking government intervention reflects the seriousness and confidence of their team,” he stated. “I thanked them for believing in Abia and choosing to invest here.”

The new factory plans to serve the wider African market from its Osisioma location, highlighting the project’s ambitious scope. Governor Otti also reaffirmed his administrationโs commitment to security, ensuring that Abia remains a safe and attractive destination for businesses.
“Abia is open, ready, and focused on becoming a hub for innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive growth,” the governor concluded, underscoring the state’s dedication to attracting and supporting private investment.
